Emmalien has over nine years of experience with botanical surveys spanning both coastal and inland riparian areas. She has conducted special-status vascular and non-vascular plant species research and surveys, and invasive plant surveys in Oregon and California. Emmalien is involved in multiple riparian and coastal wetland vegetation monitoring efforts, including an eelgrass restoration project within the Humboldt Bay. She has participated in large-scale riparian vegetation habitat mapping efforts along San Joaquin River, Mill Creek, and Cow Creek in California. She has over seven years of wetland delineation experience within the Western Mountain, Valley and Coastal region and the Arid West region. On her free time she is usually gardening, enjoying the outdoors, baking, sewing, or doing anything crafty.
