Zooey specializes in managing and implementing watershed assessment and restoration planning programs. Her technical expertise includes riparian and wetland plant ecology, vegetation mapping, surveys for special-status plants and noxious weeds, and jurisdictional wetland delineation. She also has extensive experience with environmental impact assessment and California and federal regulatory compliance. Zooey recently completed an assessment of riparian vegetation and restoration potential on the upper Gila River (Graham County, AZ), and is currently assisting with restoration planning on the Santa Clara River (Ventura County, CA), mapping vegetation and developing a riparian habitat mitigation framework for the San Joaquin River Restoration Program (Fresno and Madera Counties, CA), and leading regulatory compliance projects on the Guadalupe River (Santa Clara County, CA) and in western El Dorado County, California. She has also been assessing estuary habitat and water quality closer to home on the Big Sur River (Monterey County, CA). When not working on creeks and rivers, Zooey enjoys hiking along creeks and rivers! She is also an avid swimmer and gardener.
