Liz Gilliam
Fluvial Geomorphologist
email | view publications
Liz has worked throughout the Pacific Northwest and northern California on projects ranging from assessing possible limiting factors to salmonid populations to effects of dams on hydrology, geomorphology, and fish populations and habitat. Prior to joining Stillwater Sciences, Liz studied landslides, salmon populations, and river health while working with the U.S. Forest Service Redwood Sciences Laboratory and the Water Science Center of the U.S. Geological Survey. Liz recently completed her Master’s thesis at Colorado State University on the response of a stream channel to flow regulation and decreased sediment load downstream of a dam. When Liz is not at work, you can find her continually learning about geomorphology, be it from her kayak in the whitewaters of the northwest and Colorado, or from her skis in the mountains.
